It's a strange coincedence that my favorite member of the Amazoness Quartet also seems to be the most covered. Strange? Not to be believed. Is it my ANTI-Britney subconscious or is it just a strange observation?
Personally, I don't think little girls should dress that way. The Amazoness Quartet specifically. I couldn't care less if the 7-year-old next door is a Britney Spears wannabe. I would doubt her sanity =), but it's America, the whole freedom of speech thing. However, the Amazoness Quartet are little girls who never want to grow up. Key words here: never_want_to_grow_up. Come on, they were willing to turn evil because they feared that they would grow up and not have dreams. And yet they wear stuff that is undeniably Britney extreme ::cough I want to grow up fast and be *mature* cough::. I am confused now.
This is a random observation, but the Amazoness Quartet go through puberty surprising early 0_o. I mean.... if you compare them with Hotaru and Chibiusa, who are around the same age...
Back on track. I have a few theories on why the Amazoness Quartet dress like that. My first one is that Takeuchi-san has this rule with villianesses and revealing outfits. Look at the infamous 1-800-CLE-VAGE (phone # courtesy of ltgmars) Kaolinite, the Four Ayakashi Sisters, and the ever eye-opening Animamates. I get it now. Good guys are "covered", and bad guys aren't, so that us lowly moonies can distinguish between the two.
My second theory starts with an observation. The Amazoness Quartet's outfits are wacky with the circus touch. So, you don't really see the revealing-ness in their outfits, but rather, the wackiness. ::whisper:: It's a Circus thing. I have never been to a circus, but to my knowledge the circus ladies (whatever, stop laughing at me ^^;;) dress somewhat like the Amazoness Quartet, only their outfits are made with sequined see-through material.
My last theory, and also the scariest and most unlikely one, but I'm putting it here just for the heck of it: The Amazoness Quartet want to be kids so much that they're going all the way back to the way they were born ::cough birthday suit cough::. Please don't stare at me that way. That's really the only original, not-so-obvious theory my twisted mind can come up with.
